The rules of using BestHire.

Plain language, no surprises. BestHire is a decision-support tool. We tell you who is worth your time and show you the evidence. You make the hire.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or posting a job on BestHire, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. "BestHire" in this document means BestHire AI, the operator of besthire.io.

2. What BestHire is — and is not

BestHire is a decision-support tool. You post a job, candidates apply, BestHire runs each fit candidate through a five-minute AI interview, and you get a ranked verdict with the CV line and interview quote behind every name.

BestHire is not: an ATS, a sourcing platform, a recruiter workspace, or an automated hiring system. We do not reject candidates on your behalf. We do not send mail from your inbox. We do not run your calendar. You own the decision, the outreach, and the final hire.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the jobs you post and the candidates you process. That means:

  • You have the legal right to collect and process the candidate data you upload or receive through BestHire.
  • You comply with the employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws of every jurisdiction you hire in.
  • You disclose to candidates, at the point of application, that an AI tool is part of the screening process. The hosted apply page does this for you by default.
  • You don't use BestHire's output to discriminate on any protected ground.

4. How to read the AI's output

Every verdict shown in BestHire is generated by AI from a candidate's CV, pre-screen answers, and interview transcript. The output is decision support — it can be wrong about the candidate, the role, or both. Read the cited evidence before acting on a verdict. BestHire does not warrant the accuracy of any ranking or evidence summary and is not liable for hiring decisions you make on the back of one.

We analyse transcripts only. We do not score face, gaze, expression, tone, or any other biometric signal. Verdicts reflect only what the candidate said.

5. Payment, plans, and refunds

Free plans are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period. Refunds outside of this rule are at our discretion — write to contact@besthire.io if you think yours qualifies.

6. Account security

You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe. If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, write to contact@besthire.io and we'll cut the session.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use BestHire to harass, defraud, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Don't reverse-engineer the service, resell it, or build a competing product on top of it. We can suspend accounts that violate this rule without notice.

8. Intellectual property

BestHire's code, design, models, and brand are ours. The jobs you post, the CVs you receive, and the verdicts produced for your jobs are yours. We hold a limited licence over your content only to the extent needed to run the service for you (storage, transcription, evaluation, display in your account).

9. Disclaimer and liability

BestHire is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or for hiring decisions you make using BestHire's output.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or wind down the service with reasonable notice. On termination, your data is handled per the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations we'll email you. Continued use after the change means you accept the new version.
